The Mezzanine designs where appreciated by the Media group as a whole but some feedback was that "why does it need to be so detailed if its a practice day". This comment seemed relevant which lead me to change the designs dramatically since there was no intention of much footfall. also the boards which where planned in the first floor plan are not the ones which will be used for the final set up because they have become untraceable at the University. So these new triangular boards will have to be used used instead.

Week 7
This week there has been a little confusion about acquiring the display boards so the email below shows request sent to "Andrew Clayton" which was the original contact given to acquire the boards required for the exhibition.
i will wait for a response so that this minor issue can be resolved. but during next week i will try to visit Built Environments in the Marconi building on the 2nd floor. this is to see if i can have a 1 to 1 conversation with andrew to agree on the dates specified so that time can be saved.

Week 6
From the images taken from last week the SU Bar i have drawn up a first draft of my idea of how the SU Bar should look.
the image above shows a rough outline of the SU Bar. It was agreed the individuals work would be displayed on large boards so there is enough space to show various parts of work depending on the individual. So the floor plan has boxes to show 1 board for each member of the media group in a sort of exhibition format where space is still achieved with an art and ATOM feel to it. also there are projectors and TV monitors which could be used to show videos and on going user profiles. the projector could be used to display the web teams website where employers can interact with and get a sense of what has been created.
The image above shows a rough outline of the Mezzanine and the original idea was to make the exhibition look like an atom shape. this could be achieved with rope barriers which would give a more art gallery feel to it. also seeing as we are missing the projector and TV monitors which are available in the SU Bar. There are digital displays which have 3 TV monitors attached to a pole. this can be used to display student profiles and show the motion of the website working. also i was thinking there could be a walkway that leads to the display and work can be displayed in a more art type of way. also since there is lot of space in the mezzanine there could be a projector set up aswell. one thing that would have to be taken into consideration would be that the mezzanine is a walkway for students and they will be passing by to get to classes so enough room needs to be left over so students can pass.

Week 5
Another week of investigation for me. i went to the Mezzanine to confirm the practice location and show the group the images of the potential space as agreed. these images again will also help me get an idea of how the floor is layer out so i can input my ideas on how the exhibition should be displayed. below are the images taken from the Mezzanine.
